Opportunity and Prosperity Agenda

What is the agenda?

District 4 deserves leadership that is proactive, not reactive. Leadership that delivers
opportunity, prosperity, and dignity for every resident. For too long, our communities
have been overlooked, underfunded, and treated as an afterthought. This plan sets a
new course by putting residents first and building solutions that are bold, practical, and
rooted in equity. This is a living document created for you and shaped by you.

If you have an idea, we want to hear it. Use this link [insert link] to share your thoughts,
feedback, and concerns. You deserve to be part of the decision-making process, and
together we can build the future District 4 deserves.

The Opportunity and Prosperity Agenda focuses on:

  • Revitalizing neighborhoods through economic development, traffic calming measures, cultural districts, and support for local festivals and small businesses.

  • Empowering community groups and ensuring residents have a real voice through town halls, neighborhood councils, and rotating mobile office hours.

  • Breaking down housing barriers by reforming unfair rental practices, stabilizing rents, and expanding affordable housing access.

  • Reforming development and zoning to make the system faster, fairer, and less costly.

  • Expanding public safety with a community-based approach that emphasizes prevention, trust, and accountability

  • Supporting small businesses with grants, storefront improvement programs, and targeted investments in underserved neighborhoods.

  • Emphasis on public safety for all residents, including a disaster relief plan.

  • Protecting core services like libraries, parks, and recreation centers to ensure families have safe, accessible places to gather and grow.

  • Building a data-driven city where government is transparent, responsive, and accountable to residents.

  • Changing the culture of the District 4 office to reflect the diversity of our community, provide language access, and respond quickly to every request.

This is about more than fixing problems, it’s about transforming District 4 into a place where opportunity is within reach for every family, where neighborhoods thrive, and where City Hall finally delivers the respect and resources our community deserves.
